For over 30 years, Claudia Jasin has championed policies and programs that support youth development and equity, working across both local government and the nonprofit sector. As Youth Policy Specialist for a Sacramento City Councilmember, Claudia led efforts to advance a youth-centered agenda—including a successful ballot measure establishing the Sacramento Children’s Fund and initiatives like free public transit for youth. Prior to that, she spent 17 years at San Francisco’s Jamestown Community Center, 10 of them as Executive Director, where she grew the organization’s reach from 500 to over 1,000 youth and expanded its budget fourfold.

Claudia also helped secure a federal Promise Neighborhood grant for the Mission District by co-chairing the committee on student achievement and school improvement and serving on the initiative’s advisory board. She holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Public Policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. Claudia is a trusted advocate and strategist dedicated to creating long-term opportunities for young people.
